    Johann- a shoemaker- and his brother Matthias arrived in Savannah on the Charles Town Galley in 1749, as part of the Fifth Palatinate Transport. Both were indentured servants, but soon bought their freedom. They first settled in Ebenezer, but at some point, Johann and Anna Maria moved to Savannah, where his will was recorded in 1780.
