    Saul died young, of unknown causes. In 1862 Amanda married Elliott C. Johnson of Savannah, by whom she had one child, Elliott Otis Johnson. Elliott’s father had moved to Savannah from Lynn MA in the 1820’s and married a Savannah woman. The father returned to Lynn at the outbreak of the Civil War but Elliott remained, fighting with the Chatham Artillery. In 1871 Elliott and family returned to his family home in Lynn; however Amanda later died in Savannah, perhaps on a visit home.
